NEB 公司的所有 DNA 甲基化酶以及某些限制性内切酶中单独提供有 S-腺苷甲硫氨酸（SAM）。SAM 由 0.005 M 的 H2SO4 和 10％ 的 ETOH 制备并经过滤处理。
